Wake up happy with this Sunrise Smoothie full of bright and refreshing citrus and tropical fruits!

I love fruit-based smoothies — creamy, bright, and naturally sweet. This Sunrise Smoothie is one of my favorites because the combination of citrus and tropical fruit makes it light, frothy, and energizing first thing in the morning. If you want to sneak in greens, add a handful of spinach; it will turn the smoothie green but still taste delicious.

For smooth, creamy results, layer ingredients in the blender starting with the liquid, then softer ingredients like yogurt and fresh fruit, followed by frozen fruit and ice. Blend until smooth and frothy, then pour and enjoy.

I’ve been using a high-powered blender for years and it makes a noticeable difference: silky texture and perfectly blended frozen fruit every time. But any strong blender will do — just be sure to follow the layering tip above.
