If you love smoothies, you can thank my friend Brooklyn for this one! She’s adorable and shares delicious recipes. Enjoy! ~Amber
Hi everyone — I’m Brooklyn from Cook & Craft Me Crazy. I’m passionate about cooking and crafting. I’ve been married nearly five years and have two little ones: a three-year-old daughter and a toddler son. As an Air Force wife I love to smile, play volleyball, and dance for exercise. One of my favorite things is dancing to old records in the kitchen with my kids.

As Amber mentioned, this month is all about Healthy Food, Healthy You. Here’s a simple smoothie to help you stay on track.
I make smoothies or shakes almost every morning for breakfast. They’re an easy way to get a serving of fruit and dairy, they assemble quickly, and cleanup is simple. I usually sip mine on the go, sharing little tastes with the kids. This is our family favorite — it goes down fast and keeps you satisfied until lunch.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups frozen banana slices and frozen strawberries
- 1 cup milk (we use 1%)
- 2–3 Tbsp old-fashioned rolled oats
Instructions
-
Combine the frozen banana slices, frozen strawberries, milk, and rolled oats in a blender. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately—sip through a straw or eat with a spoon.
-
Note: Because this contains fresh fruit, the smoothie will darken if left sitting. For best color and flavor, drink soon after blending.
