Grandma’s Classic Baked Beans Recipe for Comforting Flavor

Grandma's Baked Beans

This is a treasured family recipe that has been passed down for generations. Although I never met my grandmother, my mother remembers these beans from her childhood, and they remain a holiday must-have for our family.

We serve these baked beans every Thanksgiving and Christmas, and they’re also perfect for summer barbecues. They’re delicious served hot or cold—my family tends to prefer them cold, and I love dipping hot turkey or ham into a scoop of chilled beans instead of using gravy. Try them both ways and see what you prefer.
