“Carrot” Easter Pudding Cups – A playful, spring-ready dessert featuring an orange candy-dipped strawberry “carrot” nestled in crushed Oreo “dirt” atop chocolate pudding.

These pudding cups are an easy, festive idea for Spring and Easter. Chocolate pudding becomes the “soil,” crushed Oreos add realistic “dirt,” and strawberries dipped in orange candy melts turn into cute edible carrots.

Kids love fun, themed treats — they always get excited when something is decorated. The best part of this project is how simple it is: open pudding cups, add a few mix-ins, and you have an adorable dessert in minutes.

If you’re shopping for ingredients, look for Snack Pack pudding in the aisle with gelatin mixes and marshmallows. I used Chocolate SUPER Snack Pack cups, which come in a convenient 6-count container.

For the carrot look you’ll need orange candy melts and strawberries. Oreos crushed into fine crumbs make the perfect “dirt” topping.

To assemble:
- Melt the orange candy melts in the microwave following package directions. Dip rinsed and thoroughly dried strawberries into the melted candy, scrape off excess, and place on wax paper to set.
- Pour a small amount of the melted candy into a zip-top sandwich bag, snip a tiny corner, and drizzle a zig-zag stripe across each coated strawberry to mimic a carrot texture.
- Crush Oreos in a zip-top bag with a rolling pin until they resemble coarse soil. Plan on about one Oreo per pudding cup.
- Open the pudding cups, sprinkle the Oreo crumbs on top, and press a candy-dipped strawberry into each cup so it looks like a carrot planted in the dirt.

This is a very kid-friendly project — children can help dip strawberries, crush cookies, and decorate. It’s quick, requires minimal ingredients, and makes a cheerful presentation for holiday gatherings or classroom parties.

Ingredients (yields 6 servings):
- 6 ct Chocolate SUPER Snack Pack pudding cups
- 1 lb strawberries, rinsed and dried
- 1 package orange candy melts
- About 6 Oreos, crushed

Instructions
- Melt the orange candy melts in the microwave according to package directions. Dip each rinsed, dried strawberry into the melted candy, remove excess, and place on wax paper to set. Transfer some melted candy into a sandwich bag, snip a small corner, and drizzle a zig-zag over the strawberries for a carrot-like appearance.
- Place Oreos in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin until you have fine crumbs — roughly one Oreo per pudding cup.
- Open each Snack Pack pudding cup, add a layer of crushed Oreos on top, insert a candy-dipped strawberry, and serve.
Notes
- One package of candy melts is typically enough to dip a pound of strawberries, though you only need six strawberries for this recipe.
These pudding cups are a quick, charming dessert that’s as fun to make as it is to eat. They’re ideal for Easter brunches, spring parties, or an easy after-school treat.
