At a local all-you-can-eat pizza spot called Pizza Pie Café they serve a variety of pies, including dessert pizzas made from dough rather than cookie crusts. My favorite there is the Oreo dessert pizza. I decided to recreate that idea with a Halloween twist: a cobweb design piped on top with a firmer cream cheese frosting. The result is simple to make and looks great on a party table.

Cobweb Oreo Dessert Pizza
This cobweb Oreo dessert pizza starts with Rhodes frozen dough for a tender, easy-to-handle crust. Thaw a loaf of Rhodes White Bread dough, roll it out on a greased pizza pan, and spread softened butter over the surface. Sprinkle with finely crushed Oreos and press the crumbs into the butter so they adhere.
For the cobweb look, make a cream cheese frosting that is slightly stiffer than typical pipeable frostings so the design holds. The frosting is made with cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and a bit of milk to reach the right consistency. Transfer the frosting to a sandwich bag, snip a small corner, and pipe straight lines across the pizza much like you would cut slices. Then, draw three concentric rounded “U” shapes to connect the lines and form a cobweb.

Bake the assembled pizza until the edges and bottom are golden brown. Allow it to cool enough that the frosting won’t melt when applied, then pipe the cobweb. The pizza is best served warm, but cool it to room temperature before decorating to keep the frosting lines sharp.

This Halloween dessert strikes a good balance of sweetness without being overly rich, so there’s still room for more treats later in the evening. It’s a fun centerpiece for a Halloween spread and simple to slice with a pizza cutter into 16 pieces for a party.

Cobweb Oreo Dessert Pizza
Ingredients
Oreo Pizza:
- 1 loaf Rhodes White Bread, thawed
- 4 Tbsp butter, softened
- 16 Oreos, crushed (about 1 1/4 cup crushed)
Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 4 Tbsp butter, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp milk
Instructions
-
Place the frozen dough on a greased pizza pan. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap and let thaw at room temperature for 4–5 hours.
-
Use a rolling pin to shape the dough into a circle the size of your pizza pan. Spread softened butter over the surface.
-
Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or blender until fine crumbs form. Sprinkle the crumbs evenly over the butter and press gently so they stick.
-
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake for 16–18 minutes, or until the crust is golden on the edges and the bottom. Cool to room temperature before frosting.
-
In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk, and mix until you have a pipeable but firm frosting. Transfer to a sandwich bag and snip a small corner.
-
Pipe straight radial lines across the pizza, keeping steady pressure. Then connect the lines with three rounded concentric “U” shapes to create the cobweb.
-
Use a pizza cutter to slice into 16 pieces and serve. Leftovers can be kept covered at room temperature; for best texture frost just before serving.
