Cordon Bleu Sliders are made easy with deli meat, swiss cheese, honey dijon mayo, and freshly baked Rhodes® dinner roll slider buns!

These Cordon Bleu Sliders are the perfect summer appetizer or potluck contribution — simple to assemble, irresistible to eat. They make a great quick lunch or party snack when you want something impressive without a lot of fuss.

Using Rhodes frozen dinner rolls saves time: just thaw, let rise and bake according to package directions. Once the rolls are baked and cooled slightly, split them and layer deli-style chicken and ham with Swiss cheese. Warm briefly so the cheese softens, then finish with a creamy honey Dijon mayo studded with poppy seeds. The combination is sweet, tangy and savory — classic Cordon Bleu flavor in slider form.

Add a toothpick for a festive touch and optional lettuce or avocado slices for extra freshness. These sliders are crowd-pleasers — they disappear fast at barbecues and gatherings, often before the main course. The honey Dijon mayo is especially good; try spreading it generously for maximum flavor.

Ingredients

  • 12 Rhodes Dinner Rolls or 12 Rhodes Warm-N-Serv Dinner Rolls (baked following package directions)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 12 slices deli chicken
  • 6 slices deli ham
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese

  • Slice the baked rolls in half horizontally. Spread the bottom halves with the honey Dijon mayo.
  • Layer each bottom roll with 1/2 slice chicken, 1/2 slice ham, and another 1/2 slice chicken (or arrange deli slices to cover the roll). Top with a slice of Swiss cheese.
  • Place assembled bottoms with cheese on a baking sheet and heat in a 350°F oven for 1–2 minutes, just until the cheese softens and begins to melt. Remove from oven.
  • Spread the top halves of the rolls with the remaining honey Dijon mayo and place them on the warmed bottoms. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Optional additions: lettuce, avocado slices or a colorful toothpick for serving. These sliders are best served fresh but can be kept warm briefly in a low oven before serving.
