Coconut Cream Fruit Dip – A super-easy, three-ingredient fruit dip that’s creamy and refreshing with any fruit. Perfect for summer parties, potlucks, baby or bridal showers, or any gathering.

I first tasted this coconut cream fruit dip at a recipe swap hosted by a friend and was surprised by how simple and delicious it is. The sweet, coconut-forward flavor pairs beautifully with fresh fruit, and I’ve been making it ever since.

The dip requires only three ingredients: cream of coconut, block-style cream cheese, and whipped topping. Note: cream of coconut is not the same as coconut milk or coconut cream. It is presweetened and commonly used in cocktails like piña coladas. Popular brands include Coco Real and Coco Lopez.

This recipe yields a generous amount, making it ideal for parties and large gatherings. If you prefer a smaller portion, halve the ingredients for a family-size batch. Guests often ask for the recipe, and it’s easy to share—print a copy or direct them here.

I’ve refreshed and updated this post over the years, and recently added a quick video to show how effortless the recipe is. You’ll love how fast it comes together and how well it complements fruit or graham crackers.
Updated 5/18/15 — the recipe now lists the original amounts to avoid confusion over halved measurements.

Notes
- Tip: For a lump-free dip, beat the cream cheese first until smooth, then add the cream of coconut. Softening the cream cheese beforehand or using a stand mixer with a whisk helps.
- What is cream of coconut? It’s presweetened coconut cream, similar in texture to sweetened condensed milk. Look for brands like Coco Lopez or Coco Real in the mixers aisle.
- Substitute for Cool Whip: Whisk 1 cup heavy whipping cream with 1/4 cup powdered sugar until stiff peaks form (stand mixer recommended).
