We served this as a side dish for our homemade Valentine’s dinner last month and it was such a hit I had to share it. My husband thought he had the whole meal timed perfectly, but he’s not always great at coordinating multiple dishes at once, so I stepped in to help. He did most of the work — I only nudged things along. Don’t tell him I said that, wink wink.
I helped prepare this Garlic Parmesan Orzo and we both loved the result. Orzo has a rice-like shape and texture but with a bit more bite, which makes it a great base for a simple, flavorful sauce. We’ll definitely make this again soon — I think even our kids would enjoy it. They didn’t try it that night since they had a heart-shaped cheese pizza, while we enjoyed Kansas City rubbed steaks, this orzo, and honey-glazed carrots. Still, I’m confident they’ll love this side dish as much as we did.
