I wanted to share a few photos and highlights from our recent family vacation to Disneyland. We spent four days enjoying both Disneyland parks and one day at the beach. Vacations are always enjoyable, but there’s something comforting about returning home, sleeping in your own bed, and settling back into a regular routine.
Here are a few family photos. The jogger stroller was easy to maneuver and reclined so the kids could nap when they got tired.

If you eat at Disneyland, I highly recommend the Jolly Holiday Bakery Café. Their desserts are indulgent and their sandwiches are flavorful and satisfying.

I. WAS. IN. HEAVEN.

This roast beef sandwich (just under $10) with saucy cheese, caramelized onions, and horseradish spread on a toasted onion roll was fantastic — also from Jolly Holiday Bakery Café. Cute detail: it was served on parchment printed to look like newspaper.

A couple more photos of my adorable kids.

Another must-try at Disneyland is the Dole Pineapple Whip or Float from the Tiki Juice Bar. Both are delightful, but I preferred the float slightly more. It’s simply pineapple soft serve and pineapple juice, yet utterly delicious.

That said, the servings sometimes had a hollow center — for the price of about $3 for the whip and $5 for the float, I wish they filled them a bit more.

We also loved the corn dogs from Corn Dog Castle in California Adventure. Yes, this is a food blog — so naturally I’m sharing the best bites.

Those corn dogs are huge. They cost around $6 and come with a bag of chips or sliced apples. The batter is thick and flavorful — my kids ate one every day while we were there and absolutely loved them.
We tried a few other spots we enjoyed but didn’t photograph:
- Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill (California Adventure) — My husband had the fire-grilled citrus chicken (served with tortillas, refried beans, and seasoned rice) and I had a Mexican chicken Caesar salad. His chicken was juicy and flavorful, and my salad was crisp and delicious. Entrees run about $12–$15.
- Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta (California Adventure) — Portions are generous and saucy, with most dishes under $15.
- Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port (Disneyland) — Large pizza slices, saucy pasta, and fresh salads.
I’ve also heard good things about Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante (Disneyland) for Mexican food under $15, and Bengal Barbecue (Disneyland), which always smells tempting as you walk by in Adventureland.
One place I wouldn’t recommend is Village Haus Restaurant (Disneyland). The burgers, fries, and pizzas we tried were average and served lukewarm. It felt like a poor value, so I’d skip it.
If you want to save money, lunch tends to be cheaper than dinner. We often bought lunch inside the parks and packed sandwiches for dinner in a small cooler. That approach let us try more food while staying on a budget, and we still had a wonderful time.
I hope you enjoyed this little peek into our trip. I don’t usually share many personal posts, but it was fun to highlight some favorites and memorable moments from our family vacation.
