This Patriotic Punch is a fizzy, family-friendly drink made with only two main ingredients and finished with fresh fruit for a festive red, white, and blue presentation.

I love making holiday treats, and patriotic red, white, and blue ideas are some of my favorites. This punch is perfect for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, or any summer gathering because it’s quick to prepare and looks festive. The base uses just two ingredients, and a few simple fruit accents transform it into a party-ready beverage.

If you already have plans for today, save this recipe for your next celebration—it’s simple to make and a hit with kids and adults alike. The decorative touches are fast to create and really elevate the presentation.

One charming detail is pineapple stars. They add a playful white-yellow contrast and are surprisingly easy to make. Trim the top and bottom of a pineapple, remove the rind, and slice the fruit into 1 to 1½-inch rounds.

Use a star-shaped cookie or fondant cutter to press out stars from each slice. If the pineapple is very ripe, the cutter will slide through easily; if it’s firmer, you can use a small paring knife to help release the shapes. Save any leftover pineapple pieces for smoothies or snacking, and cut around the core when necessary.

The drink itself is just white grape juice and ginger ale. I usually use equal parts of each for a light, fizzy, fruity punch that’s refreshing and family-friendly. It’s one of my go-to party drinks because it’s simple and crowd-pleasing.

You can experiment with other light-colored juices and clear sodas—pineapple juice with lemon-lime soda or apple juice with cream soda, for example. Just keep the base pale so the red and blue fruit remain visible. The usual ratio is half juice, half soda; adjust to taste.
