These festive Christmas Pretzel Hugs are melted just enough to press an M&M on top. Let the chocolate firm back up, then package them as neighbor gifts or arrange them on a plate for the perfect salty-sweet treat.

Looking for an easy and delicious salty-sweet Christmas treat? These Christmas Pretzel Hugs are quick to make, totally addictive, and fun for kids to help assemble. They’re also adorable packaged up for neighbors.
All you need are mini pretzels, Hershey’s Hugs, and red-and-green M&M’s. Arrange pretzels on a lined baking sheet, top each with an unwrapped Hug, warm briefly in the oven, and press an M&M into each softened chocolate. Let them cool until the chocolate firms.

I usually chill them briefly in the freezer so the chocolate sets quickly, but I always sneak one while it’s still warm and melty. A quick tip: candy cane–flavored kisses should work, but avoid caramel-filled kisses—they don’t melt the same.
