Lemon Jello Salad (also called Lemon Fluff Dessert) is light, smooth, and velvety—almost like mousse. It melts in your mouth and can be molded, sliced into squares, or spooned into cups. Top it with whipped cream and fresh raspberries for a festive touch. This tangy, refreshing dessert is perfect for barbecues, potlucks, and parties.

I love those jello-based fruit and fluff salads that show up at potlucks—the ones that feel more like dessert than a side dish. They often get treated like a traditional salad on the plate, sitting alongside green salad, pasta salad, or potato salad.
My typical jello salads include fruit, cottage cheese, and whipped topping; they’re spoonable and yield a lot, which makes them ideal for feeding a crowd. This lemon version is a tangy alternative, perfect for lemon lovers.

Lemon Jello Salad aka Lemon Fluff
This lemon jello salad is airy, velvety, and light—very mousse-like. It uses just a handful of simple ingredients: lemon jello, lemon pudding, water (plus ice), and whipped topping. The pudding and jello combine for bright lemon flavor and a creamy texture.
There are no fruit chunks or cottage cheese in this version, although fresh berries make a delicious garnish. Because the recipe uses both jello and pudding, the flavor is tangy and bright; adding extra whipped cream at serving time softens the tartness if you prefer a milder bite.

Will this Jello salad work in a mold?
Yes. The combination of lemon jello, lemon pudding, and whipped topping yields a light yet firm texture that sets well. You can pour it into a mold or a 13×9-inch pan and slice it into squares, or simply chill it in a bowl and serve by the spoonful. If you prefer a molded presentation, use a heatproof bowl to cool the cooked mixture before combining with the whipped topping, then transfer to your mold and chill until set.

Other Notes and Recommendations:
- Versatile recipe – Swap the jello and pudding flavors to create other variations. If lemon pudding isn’t available, vanilla or cheesecake pudding work well as substitutes.
- Lighter option – For a lower-calorie version, use sugar-free jello and pudding and a light whipped topping.
- Add fresh fruit – To include fruit in the salad itself, gently fold it into the whipped topping before chilling.
